“ Our favorite place for dinner in Florence! The food is excellent and plentiful and wine is great too. Reasonably priced too. ”
“ Absolutely delicious. This place lives up to the hype. Get the gnocchi, you will love it. Eat outside on the piazza. Fast service. Perfect food. Yes, it's touristy, but for good reason. People come form far and wide to experience perfection. ”
“ This place is great! Its a small mom and pop and its by far my favorite restaurant in florence so far. The staff was super friendly, i didnt feel ripped off ater we left it was 61$ for 3 meals, 2 wines and 2 free shots at the end. Food was delish still not blown away but it was really good and felt a little more authentic and reasonable. ”
“ My friends and I were in Rome, Florence and Venice for our trip so we tried a LOT of different places but our meal here was easily one of the best we had. We weren't able to snag reservations so had to wait in line for a table. Even though we got there when they opened, we still had about 10-12 people ahead of us. It took about an hour and half to get seated but totally worth the wait. Our waitress was super nice and attentive, she had great recommendations for us and brought out everything pretty quickly. The mussels were so delicious, we almost filled up from just that but then the pasta and truffle gnocchi came out and I was in carb heaven! Amazing food, service and ambiance! I definitely hope to come back again! ”
“ Quality Tuscan food from pastas to muscles. Limited beer and wine list. Most folks eat outside. Basic and simple seating and decor but this allows them to get the best foods. Even the simple spaghetti pomodor is best in Florence ”
“ Let me preface this review by saying me and my wife were in Italy for our honeymoon for 2 weeks, and stayed in Rome, Florence, and Venice...and the pasta dish I had at Osteria Santo Spirito was the absolute best pasta dish the entire time I was in Italy. I still think about it honestly. I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time, as this is a pretty popular restaurant. We had a reservation, but within 20 minutes of us sitting down, there was a line of people waiting to be seated. We had our reservation right at opening, which was nice. We sat outside, as that is where most of the tables are. There are some inside, but very few. Sitting outside in the little square was nice though. We each got a main dish for ourselves (but we still shared), and then an appetizer. For the appetizer, we got these prosciutto wrapped things, I can't remember what they were called, but they were pretty good. Definitely very salty though. For the main dish, I got the truffle gnocchi, and my wife got this walnut cream sauce tortellini. YOU HAVE TO GET THE TRUFFLE GNOCCHI. This was the best thing I had eaten in Italy, while we were there for 2 weeks. It was so so so SO GOOD. It was so flavorful and everything in the dish just complimented each other perfectly. The truffle wasn't over powering, the bite of the gnocchi was perfect, and everything else just was perfect. It's the restaurant's most popular dish, and I can understand why. HIGHLY recommend getting this dish. My wife got this walnut cream sauce tortellini, which was also very very good. She ranked this dish in her top 3 of foods we had while in Italy. Clearly, Osteria Santo Spirito knows what they are doing. I would 1000% come back to this restaurant if I ever find myself back in Florence in the future. The service was great, the food was great, the drinks were good, and just everything about it was so perfect. ”
“ Best meal we had in a week of visiting Florence. Waited in line for 30 minutes and it was worth it. The gnocchi was the best we ever had and the staff was very friendly. It's easy to get pulled into tourist traps , this seemed as authentic as it gets. We will be back ”
“ Very long wait in line and VERY VERY long wait for the Food to come to the table. And I don't think it was actually worth the wait. Items will tasty no doubt but there was no extra WOW factor. Servers were also very rushed in their service overall. Ribollita - It didn't look runny like a soup, but definitely had the soup flavor. Consistency was more like a thick spread. The flavor reminded me of a soup my mom used to make when I was young, which is kind of weird considering I grew up in India! Pappa al Pomodoro - Lovely tomato flavor here. And quite well absorbed by the bread. It's like bread soaked in tomatoe soup, haha. Pollo con Verdure - Chicken was very soft, but portion size was too small. Also quite oily. Vegetables had a good flavor too. Spaghetti Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino - Dad loved this! He's usually one to go for things with spicy flavor, but really appreciated this dish. The roasted garlic and olive oil was really good together. Gnocchi - This was piping hot when it came. Could actually see the cheese bubbling. Had some good flavor as well and quite cheesy. Perfect with some extra chili flakes we added. Group also got Tiramisu for dessert and everyone seemed to enjoy ”
“ Amazing restaurant, recommended to us by a local friend. They serve classic Tuscan dishes, including their starter bread which contains no salt but is served with salty condiments. Very trendy and young. Great service. Delicious food. I think about the truffle gnocchi all the time. Cheesy with a balanced truffle flavor and the most amazing gnocchi texture, wow! ”
“ After a long day or touring the city, we were in this neighborhood and heard such good things about this spot we decided to give it a try. Being extremely popular (and not having made a reservation) we simply got in line a queued up for a (hopefully) available outdoor table. As luck would have it, 7:30pm hit and outdoor table were offered to a few of us at the front of the line...score! We were instantly seated and a server promptly took out drink and meal orders. A bread basket and wine were brought to the table as we anxiously awaited our two main dishes and a mixed salad to share. We ordered one plate of sizzling gnocchi (a famous dish of theirs) as well as a beef stew. The gnocchi platter came overflowing with baked cheese and tender gnocchi's, which was delicious, but the beef stew was other-worldly! Such a seemingly simple plate consisting of tender chunks of beef, potatoes and a rich brown sauce that was better than any other version of this I'd ever had. We sopped up every last bite with the remaining bread he had on the table, it was that good. We savored the square's atmosphere as we dined, capping off a lovely evening in Florence. ”
